Is this the year of the Dallas Cowboys?
The year the Dallas Cowboys or America’s team may almost certainly be upon us as Jerry Jones squad seems finally poised to be amongst the league’s elite teams once again.
There is no doubt that the Dallas Cowboys have been one of the better teams in the league over the past decade or so, but whenever the game is on the line during the playoffs, America’s team always seems to fold and start to unload their players in search of new talent.

Much like the New York Yankees in the MLB, the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL are arguably the most covered team in terms of media attention. No matter how good this team may be heading into a season or what players they have with that certain star quality, the Cowboys are constantly in the headlines with good and bad press seemingly a daily basis.
So much media attention surrounding this team every single season, the pressure to be a symbol champion is immense to say the least and can be almost overwhelming for players like quarterback Tony Romo and head coach Wade Phillips.
Last season the Dallas Cowboys were able to finally get back into the playoffs and actually win a playoff game. Despite this not seeming like a big deal for the team as popular as the Dallas Cowboys, this is the first time they won a playoff game since 1996.
Despite finally getting that playoff win chip off the shoulder and ending talks of head coach Wade Phillips possibly getting fired and quarterback Tony Romo getting benched, the Dallas Cowboys are progressing slowly, but surely.
Heading into the upcoming NFL regular season the pressure will be on once again for America’s team as they are favored to be one of the best teams in the NFC conference and both Romo and Philips could be on the hot seat if the Cowboys struggle early in the season. Not only have they been getting some Super Bowl title contender buzz with other NFC teams like the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints, but they have a chance to make history as they would be the first team in NFL history to play in a Super Bowl on their home field.

As of right now, I believe the Dallas Cowboys have the most dynamic offense in the league. Not only are the led by a Pro Bowl caliber in Tony Romo, but the quarterback out of Eastern Illinois has a lot of offense weapons at his disposal.
Last season the Cowboys had one of the best offenses in the league with wide receiver Miles Austin, running back Felix Jones and tight end Jason Witten lighting up the scoreboards for the Cowboys, but this season they will have a motivated wideout in Roy Williams and arguably the most promising rookie in the NFL Draft in Dez Bryant out of Oklahoma State.
With the addition of Bryant and Williams pledging to be a force to be reckoned with once again, the Cowboys will be lighting up opposing defenses next season and could be headed to the Super Bowl in February.
Along with having arguably the best offense in the NFL, they will also have one of the best defenses. With the combination of a potent offense and a lockdown defense, the Cowboys will be the team to keep your eye on in the NFC Conference.
