NFL Week 12: Chargers @ Colts
There’s no doubting the fact that San Diego Chargers are just terrible starting NFL regular seasons as it takes them at least to the halfway point this season to really start to get going. This year Norv Turner’s squad lost five out of the first eight games of the season with some big losses to the division rival Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.
With the two losses to division rivals in the first half of the season, the San Diego Chargers have had to do some serious catching up and coming into Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts they have won three straight against the Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Even though the San Diego Chargers have seemingly been able to get back on track this season as they are now sporting a 5-5 record, they will have their hands full in Week 12 as the Indianapolis Colts are just as desperate coming into this matchup as they sitting in second place in the AFC South division with a 6-4 record.
Obviously, both of these teams are more than capable of completely turning around their season and becoming playoff bound as they are every single year, but only one thinking come out on top in this Week 12 showdown and even though they are the underdogs I believe the San Diego Chargers will get their sixth win of the season.
As of right now, the Indianapolis Colts are favored to come out on top in this matchup with -3 point spread, but I think the San Diego Chargers are starting to peak right now and with quarterback Philip Rivers playing at an MVP level the Indianapolis Colts secondary could be in for a long day.
Even though both these teams are dealing with some serious injuries to some of their best players on the offensive side of the football with running back Joseph Addai and perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver Reggie Wayne being questionable for the Colts and tight end Antonio Gates and wide receiver Malcolm Floyd also being questionable, in the end I believe the San Diego Chargers are just the better team heading into this matchup and should come out with the win and pull off the upset.

Not only has the San Diego Chargers offense been amongst the best in the league this season as quarterback Philip Rivers is making a strong case for the NFL MVP, but the Chargers defense is also been amongst the best in the league as they have held opposing offenses to 183.9 passing yards (1st in the NFL) and 86.8 rushing yards (4th in the NFL).
With that being said, four-time NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning will almost certainly have his work cut out for him as he tries to get the best of this Chargers defense.
