NFL Week 17: Steelers @ Browns

As it usually is every single season, the race for the AFC North division title has been an all-out battle with what could be a thrilling finish as the last week of the regular season will determine who wins the title .

It seems all season long that the Baltimore Ravens had the division title wrapped up as they were ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers for the majority of the season and seemed like the better all around team, especially on the offensive side of the football.

Unfortunately, that didn’t turn out to be the case as the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to beat the Baltimore Ravens in their second matchup of the season and take over first place in the AFC North. That win seemed to be just the beginning of things to come for the Steelers as they went on a bit of a tear and started to show why they have arguably the best defense in the NFL this season.

Despite that win over the Ravens being a was thought to be enough for the Steelers to win the AFC North division title, they will still be fighting for the distinction of being division champs coming into week 17 as they will need to get a win over the Cleveland Browns.

Even though the Cleveland Browns have been one of the surprisingly good teams in the league this season and have a running back that has come into his own in Peyton Hillis, the Pittsburgh Steelers still come out on top in a big way this week over their division rivals as I can’t see any way the Cleveland Browns can get the best of this run defense.

Peyton Hillis may be the real deal and rookie quarterback Colt McCoy seems to be improving with every passing week, but it will be a nightmare this weekend in Cleveland as the browse offense tries to score points against his lockdown defense.

As of right now, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the favorites to come out on top in this matchup with a -6 point spread. That sounds just about right in my opinion as I seen the Steelers winning this game, but not exactly blowing out the Browns.

Despite most of the playoff bound teams coming into last week of the NFL regular season looking to rest their starters for the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers will probably come out firing in on all cylinders to start this game and get a comfortable lead heading into halftime.

If they do get their leader they desire, I believe head coach Mike Tomlin will leave it up to his defense to dictate the rest of the game as he will sit Ben Roethlisberger and running back Rashard Mendenhall if they no longer have to keep their foot on the gas pedal.
