Arian Foster injures hamstring for third time this season
During training camp and the NFL preseason, the Houston Texans became increasingly concerned about their Pro Bowl running back Arian Foster after he twice injured his hamstring. One of the most nagging injuries for running backs in the NFL these days is when a hamstring tightens up and that seems to keep happening for one of the league’s best running backs in Houston.

Fortunately, despite missing Week 1 against the division rival Indianapolis Colts, Arian Foster was able to get back on the gridiron for Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. Even though it looked like Foster was back to form and ready to get his season off to a good start at the mercy of the Dolphins, the Pro Bowler only carried the football 10 times for 33 yards before his hamstring started to tighten up again and send him to the sidelines.
This was obviously something that seriously affected Arian Foster as he was extremely disappointed that the hamstring injury was still lingering, but the Houston Texans aren’t terribly worried about their star running back after backup Ben Tate came in and ran for 100 yards or more in two consecutive games. With that being said, the Texans aren’t currently struggling due to the injury problems Arian Foster is facing, but they would like to get their Pro Bowler back healthy and that might lead them to keeping him out the next few weeks to heal up.
With that Houston Texans in prime position to win the AFC South division title due to the injury of four-time NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts and the switch at quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gary Kubiak and company probably won’t be taking chances with the health of their stars and therefore will probably sit Arian Foster.
As of right now, the Houston Texans have said that Arian Foster is questionable for the Week 3 showdown against the New Orleans Saints. This Week 3 matchups will most likely be one of the toughest games of the season as the Saints are about as good as it gets in the NFL right now as they have played extremely well over the last two weeks against the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears.

With the New Orleans Saints not missing a beat against two of the best defenses in the NFL, Drew Brees and company will almost certainly be favored to win this game before kickoff. As of right now, the Saints are the favorites with a -4 point spread. That spread could change if the Texans try and roll the dice with Foster, but it would be a solid bet to take New Orleans as the team to come out on top in this matchup.
Regardless of the outcome of Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints, the Houston Texans seem to be on the right track right now and possibly on their way to their first appearance in the playoffs in franchise history.
