NFL Week 12: Packers @ Falcons
Green Bay Packers @ Atlanta Falcons Sun. Nov. 28th 2010 1pm EST
Coming into this NFL regular season, the Green Bay Packers in the Atlanta Falcons were looking to finally turn the corner and become the dominant team within their divisions. Even though most people believed that the Minnesota Vikings and the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints would be the teams to beat in the NFC North and the NFC South, the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons have taken over that distinction this season.
In Week 12, the Packers and the Falcons will go head to head in what could be the game of the week as these two teams are arguably the best two teams in the NFC Conference this season. Not only will this game almost certainly determine which team is the best in the NFC Conference, but it could also ultimately determine who wins their divisions and goes always the way to the Super Bowl at season’s end.

Last week the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons were able to dominate the competition as Aaron Rodgers and company destroyed Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings 31-3 while Matt Ryan and his boys got the best of rookie Sam Bradford and the St. Louis Rams 34-17.
Needless to say, both of these teams are hitting their stride just the right time as their playing extremely well on both sides of the football right now. Even though both these teams seem the playoff this season, only one team can come out on top in this NFC conference heavyweight showdown and in my opinion it will be the Atlanta Falcons.
There’s a doubt in my mind that the Green Bay Packers will ultimately win the NFC North division title as I can’t see the Chicago Bears play consistently well from here on out as their offense is one streaky than the NFL right now, but they will have their hands full in week 12 against what I believe is the best team in the NFC conference as the Atlanta Falcons one of the best home teams in league.

Not only are the Atlanta Falcons undefeated at home this season at 5-0, but they have only lost one game on their home field since they drafted arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the game today in Matt Ryan. With that being said, the Falcons just play on another level when defending their home field and I can’t see that steak ending this weekend even though the Packers are playing at a high level right now.
As of right now, the Atlanta Falcons have been given the slight edge in this matchup with a -1.5 point spread. The only real concern for the Falcons coming into this game is the status of perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver Roddy White, but even though he is somewhat banged up right now he has been given the green light this weekend.
