NFL Preseason Week 4: Oakland Raiders @ Seattle Seahawks
Oakland Raiders @ Seattle Seahawks Fri. Sept. 2, 2011 10:30 p.m. EST
The last game of the NFL preseason will get underway this Friday night with the Oakland Raiders taking on the Seattle Seahawks at the newly named CenturyLink Field in Washington. This isn’t a glamorous or highly anticipated matchup between these two teams as many people believe that neither the Raiders nor the Seahawks will be able to contend for a playoff spot this season, but there are some interesting storylines going into this preseason finale.

The one player to watch in this game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders will be rookie quarterback Terrell Pryor. With the Raiders rolling the dice yet again on the troubled young gunslinger, things have gotten interesting in the Bay Area once again with a quarterback controversy brewing and a potential franchise player in the works.
At this point in time in the preseason, the majority of the teams in the league have already made decisions on what players they want on their rosters moving forward. However, head coaches sometimes have some ba ttles at certain positions in the preseason finale that could change the look and feel of the football team.
As of right now, Terrell Pryor is set to serve a five-game suspension in which he will not be able to participate in practice with the Oakland Raiders and won’t be able to get on the field until Week 6 at the earliest. New head coach Hue Jackson believes that Terrell Pryor will be quarterback on the NFL level and has every intention of playing him at that position when the opportunity arises.
The Oakland Raiders will have Jason Campbell as their starting quarterback in Week 1 of the NFL regular season against the division rival Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, but if Terrell Pryor makes an impression this Friday night against the Seattle Seahawks and Jason Campbell struggles throughout the first five games of the NFL regular season that could very well change come Week 6.
Despite the fact that a quarterback controversy could be brewing in Oakland between the veteran Campbell and rookie Pryor, the Raiders are primarily a running football team and a good one at that. With that being said, the passing game will take a backseat to the running game once again this season with running backs Darren McFadden and Michael Bush leading the way.

It will be interesting to see what Terrell Pryor can do on Friday night in Seattle as he could very well turn some heads if he impresses the Oakland Raiders coaching staff. Jason Campbell will almost certainly be the starting quarterback in Week 6 when the time comes, but if he gets injured or is seriously struggling under center, Hue Jackson might be forced to put his rookie quarterback under center to lead the way.
With that being said, Terrell Pryor will have some pressure on him on Friday night as many people in the Bay Area will be interested to see what this kid can do.
